jeanne Jeanne Marrazzo, ISSTDR-President
As the President of the ISSTDR (2015-2017), I’m truly excited to be part of the leadership for what will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable conferences in the field of STI/HIV. The biennial ISSTDR meetings are renowned for the quality of the science that is presented, the opportunities for vigorous debate and discussion, and the collegial networking this field is so well known for. Please join us for what I know will be a world-class scientific and professional experience!Jeanne Marrazzo, MD, MPH, FACP, FIDSA Professor & Director, Division of Infectious Diseases, University of Alabama at Birmingham

mauro Mauro Romero Leal Passos, Brazilian Society for STD/AIDS – President
“The great scientist Galileu Galilei (1564 – 1642) once stated, “I sustain that the only meaning of science is to relieve the tiredness of the human existence”.
Thus, those who work in the scientific area are impelled by their usual fuel: new and instigating challenges. Such motivational target led us to apply for this honorable challenge: holding in Rio de Janeiro, the 2017 ISSTR & IUSTI joint meeting (the ‘Wonderful City’).
Let us work together to raise an updated and feasible scientific program that helps us all to bring science benefits to citizens all over the world since science should not serve some people but everyone.
In this regard, a good congress is not limited to a mere exchange of scientific information. A good congress should strenghten friendship, be source of culture and be a suitable environment to leisure events.
In 2017, we want to surprise you. Schedule in your diary our meeting right away; Rio de Janeiro July 9-12, 2017.”Mauro Romero Leal Passos, MD, PhD.
